For all its vulnerability and frailty, the human body demonstrates remarkable adaptability, acquired over the course of evolution. Many of its inner spaces contain paired structures — for example, the thorax and the pelvis. The heart has two ventricles, the brain has two hemispheres, and two organs make up the lungs. This twofold structuring of the body provided the inspiration for my Two Chambers bowl.
